ZHRC Commissioner Martin Muduva and Wife Dies

Zimbabwe Human Rights Commission (ZHRC) Commissioner Dr. Eng. Martin Muduva and his wife have died.

The couple died on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, according to a condolence message issued by the ZHRC.

The Commission described Muduva's death as a devastating loss, noting his contributions to the organisation since his appointment as a commissioner on December 19, 2024.

During his tenure, Muduva contributed to the ZHRC's work and mandate, particularly in highlighting the links between human rights and technology.

The Commission also said his commitment to public service, human rights and administrative justice would be remembered with respect.

The deaths of Muduva and his wife have left their children, families, relatives, friends and colleagues mourning.

The ZHRC expressed its condolences to the bereaved families and said it stood in solidarity with them during the difficult period.
