The road to the 2026 Chibuku Neshamwari Traditional Dance Festival National Finals is now set following the successful conclusion of the provincial competitions in Manicaland and Midlands, which produced the final provincial champions who will battle for national glory.

The two provinces brought the curtain down on the provincial stage of the festival, showcasing Zimbabwe's rich cultural diversity through captivating performances, traditional rhythms, colourful costumes and energetic dances that drew enthusiastic support from local communities.

In Manicaland, Dapuraunanzva Dance Ensemble from Mbakumba emerged victorious after impressing judges with a polished and vibrant performance. They were followed by MANSA from Chinyambera in second place, while Chihomva Dance Group from Zhana secured third position.

The Midlands Provincial Finals were equally competitive, with Chipolopolo – Zambia Nyau claiming top honours to earn a place at the national finals. Mhukahuru Dance Group finished second, while Zikuvave – Gure took third place.

With the completion of the Manicaland and Midlands competitions, all provincial champions have now been identified, paving the way for the much-anticipated national finals. The winning groups from each province will converge to compete for the coveted national title and top prizes in what promises to be a spectacular celebration of Zimbabwean culture and heritage.

The Chibuku Neshamwari Traditional Dance Festival remains one of Zimbabwe's premier cultural events, providing a platform for the preservation and promotion of indigenous dance traditions while fostering unity and friendship among communities across the country.
