HARARE — The Higher Education Examinations Council (HEXCO) has released the Industrial Training and Trade Tests Theory examination results for the July 2026 examination session, recording a national pass rate of 70 percent.
The results were announced by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Higher and Tertiary Education, Innovation, Science and Technology Development, Professor Fanuel Tagwira.
In a statement, Professor Tagwira commended stakeholders involved in the national examination system for contributing to the successful administration of the examinations.
He said the combined efforts of stakeholders had contributed to the achievement of the 70 percent pass rate.
“Professor F. Tagwira wishes to thank all stakeholders involved in the national examination system. Their contribution towards the success of the examinations has resulted in the achievement of a 70% pass rate,” the ministry said.
Candidates who sat for the July 2026 Industrial Training and Trade Tests Theory examinations have been advised to access their results through their respective regional centres from Friday, August 21, 2026.
HEXCO is responsible for national examinations and trade testing within Zimbabwe's technical and vocational education and training system. The ministry's Quality Assurance and Standards department oversees HEXCO examinations and trade tests, with theory trade test examinations conducted several times a year.
The release of the results provides candidates with an opportunity to assess their performance and determine their next steps in their technical and vocational training pathways.
