RTG Prepares Memorable Father’s Day Experiences across Zimbabwe

HARARE, Zimbabwe — With Father’s Day fast approaching on June 21, 2026, leading hospitality group Rainbow Tourism Group (RTG) has unveiled a spectacular lineup of curated experiences across its premier properties to honor and celebrate fathers in style.

Recognising the important role fathers play in leading and nurturing families, the Group has curated a series of memorable experiences, from luxury braai experiences and traditional hot pot dinners to lively family buffets, the offerings are designed to create meaningful family moments while providing fathers with the recognition, relaxation, and appreciation they deserve.

At Victoria Falls Rainbow Hotel, fathers will be treated to a special Father’s Day dining experience featuring a traditional hot pot menu headlined by slow-cooked mazondo, road runner chicken, and hayifiridzi, offering guests an authentic taste of Zimbabwean cuisine.

Priced at US$30, the poolside dinner package includes a complimentary ice-cold local beer, making it an attractive option for families celebrating the occasion. In addition, the hotel continues to offer its all-day “Rainbow Delights” menu, featuring a variety of refreshing meals from as low as US$6, catering to a wider range of guests and dining preferences.

In the City of Kings, the Bulawayo Rainbow Hotel guests will be hosted on the scenic Vista Balcony to a dine-in experience featuring a buffet of boerewors, free-range marinated chicken skewers, and pork chops or beef steaks, served with a variety of starches and desserts for $28 USD per person.

For those preferring to celebrate at home, a premium takeaway pack with a beer or drink pairing is also available. The event features an in-house DJ, a smart-casual dress code with a prize to be won for the best-dressed dad, and alternative options including pub lunches featuring white or brown sadza served with beef or chicken stew for $6 USD, alongside Rainbow Delights specials ranging from $6 USD to $18 USD.

In Kadoma, the Kadoma Hotel & Conference Centre is pulling out all the stops at its flagship Tigashire Restaurant. Designed to enhance the overall guest experience and strengthen customer loyalty, the hotel is offering a comprehensive Father’s Day Buffet Feast. For $25 USD per person, the package includes a welcome drink for dads, a sumptuous three-course dinner, and a vibrant lineup of entertainment.

Families can look forward to live music courtesy of the resident DJ, while a dedicated Kids’ Corner features drawing and painting activities where children can make a special card for dad.

The day will also feature lively father-versus-kids fun games like darts and mini-competitions, alongside an exclusive sports screening of the highly anticipated Spain vs. Saudi Arabia World Cup game at the Executive Bar, which will be complemented by beer bucket specials and a "Cheers to Dad" Happy Hour.

For those in the capital seeking a relaxed yet vibrant atmosphere, Harare’s New Ambassador Hotel is hosting a Father’s Day Braai Luncheon at its popular Bird and Bottle Restaurant. Running from 11:00 hrs to 18:00 hrs, the event blends excellent service with a laid-back, smart-casual vibe.

Dads will receive a complimentary local beer upon arrival to celebrate their status as the family hero. Guests can choose between a full braai lunch for $25 USD per person including a drink, or opt for special mini platters priced at just $15 USD. Adding a competitive edge to the afternoon, the hotel has announced that lots of prizes will be up for grabs for the best-dressed dad, with the official dress code set as smart casual.

Up in the scenic Eastern Highlands, Montclair Resort and Conference Centre is inviting families to treat their fathers to an action-packed yet refreshing mountain getaway in Nyanga. Dads can hit the trails for scenic hiking, rev up the excitement with quad biking, or tee off for a premium round of golf at the nearby Claremont Golf Club, which is now proudly under Montclair Resort and Conference management.

After a day of adventure in the crisp mountain air, fathers can unwind with a specially curated Sunday lunch overlooking the pristine landscape, offering the perfect blend of high-energy fun, serenity, and hearty country cuisine.

Meanwhile, for those looking to celebrate along the banks of the mighty Zambezi River, the A'Zambezi River Lodge in Victoria Falls is serving up pure tranquillity paired with unforgettable adventure. Dads can soak in the peaceful atmosphere of the region's only riverfront resort with a specialized Father's Day deck experience, featuring a specialized buffet, sunset views, and local wildlife sightings.

To elevate the celebration, families can treat dad to an exclusive boat cruise along the Zambezi, facilitated by the group's own Batoka Safaris, or book an immersive, awe-inspiring guided tour of the majestic rainforest alongside expert Heritage Expeditions Africa (HEXA) tour guides.
